Lip filler injections are an effective way to enhance the shape, volume and definition of your lips. Depending on what enhancements you are looking for, your practitioner will use the most appropriate BELOTERO® hyaluronic acid dermal filler and carefully inject it into targeted areas of the lips and surrounding skin. Because BELOTERO® contains hyaluronic acid, it also helps maintain hydration and elasticity in your lips.2
After having treatment with lip enhancement fillers, it’s best to wait at least one hour before drinking water and avoid hot or alcoholic beverages for 24 hours. You should also refrain from using straws or eating spicy foods, as the treated area may be sensitive.
If administered by a skilled practitioner, BELOTERO® lip enhancement fillers are unlikely to cause any serious problems at all.3 However, it is common to get mild swelling, tenderness or bruising around the injection sites for a short time. Please make sure you discuss the risks before having any treatment with your practitioner.
